Ingredients
Chicken:
- 500 gm chicken breast, cut into cubes.
- 1/2 tsp baking soda.
- Salt to taste.
- 1/4 fresh orange juice.
- 1 1/2 tbsp. soy sauce.
- 1 tsp ground black pepper.
- 1 tbsp. cornstarch.
- 1 tsp garlic, minced.
- 1 tsp ginger, minced
Orange Sauce:
- 1/3 cup fresh orange juice.
- 1 tbsp. soy sauce.
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar.
- 1 tbsp. sesame oil.
- 1 1/2 tbsp. chili garlic sauce (optional).
- 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch.
- 2 tsp orange zest.
- 3 garlic cloves, minced.
- 1 tsp ginger, minced.
- 1/2 tsp red chili flakes.
- 3 tbsp. brown sugar/ honey.
- Salt to taste.
Instructions
- In a bowl mix all the ingredients of chicken marination and let the chicken rest for at least 10 minutes.
- In a another bowl all whisk all orange sauce ingredients until the sugar dissolves and keep then keep it aside.
- Let the air fryer heat for 3-5 minutes. Place a piece of parchment paper with holes in the Air Fryer, Close the air fryer drawer and set the temperature for 390 degrees Fahrenheit and timer for 25 minutes.
- In a skillet, stir sauce mixture then add the chicken along with the sauce, leave uncovered for 5 minutes or until the sauce starts to thicken.
- In this stage add the sesame seeds and spring onions.
- Serve the orange chicken along with rice and veggies.
