Orange Chicken



  • 500 gm chicken breast, cut into cubes. 
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda. 
  • Salt to taste. 
  • 1/4 fresh orange juice. 
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. soy sauce. 
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper. 
  • 1 tbsp. cornstarch. 
  • 1 tsp garlic, minced. 
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced 

Orange Sauce: 

  • 1/3 cup fresh orange juice. 
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce. 
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar. 
  • 1 tbsp. sesame oil. 
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. chili garlic sauce (optional). 
  • 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch. 
  • 2 tsp orange zest. 
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced. 
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced. 
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes. 
  • 3 tbsp. brown sugar/ honey. 
  • Salt to taste.


  1. In a bowl mix all the ingredients of chicken marination and let the chicken rest for at least 10 minutes.
  2.  In a another bowl all whisk all orange sauce ingredients until the sugar dissolves and keep then keep it aside. 
  3. Let the air fryer heat for 3-5 minutes. Place a piece of parchment paper with holes in the Air Fryer, Close the air fryer drawer and set the temperature for 390 degrees Fahrenheit and timer for 25 minutes. 
  4. In a skillet, stir sauce mixture then add the chicken along with the sauce, leave uncovered for 5 minutes or until the sauce starts to thicken.
  5. In this stage add the sesame seeds and spring onions. 
  6. Serve the orange chicken along with rice and veggies.
